PRELIM INFO FROM FAA OPS: BOSTON, MA/UAS INCIDENT/5-3-1350E/HAWKER BEECHCRAFT BE90, REPORTED UAS APPEARED TO BE COMMERCIAL, BLACK IN COLOR AND APPROXIMATELY 20 FEET LONG AND WAS STATIONARY, 9 NNW BOSTON AT 2,500 FEET. NO EVASIVE ACTION TAKEN. NO LEOS NOTIFIED.
MOR Alert for A90 Number: A90-M-2015/05/07-0001 Type: Public inquiry or concern (including all pilot reported NMACs) Date/Time: May 3, 2015 - 1750Z A/C: (BE90) Summary: While pilot was reporting NMAC with a UAS on 5/4/15 (MOR #A90-M-2015/05/04-0001) he relayed that he also spotted one the day before in the same vicinity that was not a NMAC. This report concerns the sighting on 5/3/15. Location: BOS 330/9 Altitude: 2500 ft Distance from Aircraft: Approx 1/8 mile. Pilot reported UAS appeared to be a commercial drone, black in color, approximately 20 feet long and was stationary. No ground based operator was observed. UAS was approximately the same altitude as the aircraft but the pilot did not consider it as a NMAC.
