Summary: C172 conducting right closed traffic on Runway 9R, reported a UAV operating 50-200 ft AGL around the mid-field point of the downwind. The Miami Dade Police Aviation Unit, which is located on the airport, was contacted via landline and was given this information. They (Police) lifted off with their helicopter and landed at the location where the UAV was flying. The Metro Police pilot indicated he talked with the UAV flyer and wrote down his personal information. Metro Police will call the tower after he returns to base.
