Summary: Airport Fire and Police called FAI ATCT to advise that they observed a remote-controlled plane flying in close proximity to the airport. The remote-controlled aircraft was observed from the tower cab east of the runways and just south of the approach end of runway 2R. The local controller made notifications to several aircraft that could potentially be affected. Airport dispatch called the tower after making contact with the pilot of the remote-controlled aircraft. The aircraft was described as having a 7 foot wingspan and maneuvering to several 100 feet AGL. SOC notifed.
